The winner of Edinburgh Comedy Awards – Best Show 2015 returns to Soho Theatre.
A return to pure, full throttle stupid, from comedy’s bestest little dickhead.
Sam had a huge year in 2014. Nominated for the Fosters Comedy Award in Edinburgh, winning the Helpmann Award for Best Comedy Performance and the Festival Director’s Award at the Sydney Comedy Festival.
The trend has continued into 2015, with him again nominated for a Helpmann, winning the ‘Barry’ award for best show at the Melbourne International Comedy festival before triumphantly winning the Foster’s Edinburgh Comedy Award for best show at this year’s Fringe.
He continues to make a name for himself worldwide with appearances on Conan and Adam Devine’s House Party.
Sam returns to the UK hot off the back of sell-out seasons in Adelaide, Sydney, Perth and Melbourne.
‘Every second filled with sound, punchlines and glorious visual tricks… both demands your attention and deserves it.’
‘This really is Simmons at the top of his game: exhaustingly funny, daft and truly daring.’
‘The laughs come by the second… one of the most riotously enjoyable hours at the Fringe.’
‘A big, silly, wonderful hour.’
‘Weird and wonderful stuff… very superior, very funny comic fodder indeed.’
‘Combining the rage of Basil Fawlty with the lunacy of Spike Milligan.... Painfully frank, riotously inventive and a deserving award winner.’
‘A blistering new show.’
‘Simmons takes absurdist comedy to a new level.’
