Terms & conditions

We want to look after you, our artists and our shared environment in a fair and open way, so here’s the deal.

By purchasing a ticket you agree to the following terms and conditions.

Dean Street Ticketing and Visiting T&Cs

At Soho Theatre we like to reward early booking audiences with the best price available. Our intimate auditoria offer a great view of the stage from all seats. However, depending on the style of production some seats offer a view that works better with the design of show or style of performance. By splitting our auditorium into different price bands we can offer a range of prices based on where we feel the optimum viewing experience will be. Our ticket prices are subject to change according to demand, so by booking early you can sure to secure the best seats at the best price. Please note: latecomers may not be admitted to performances. If we are able to admit you as a latecomer, you may not be able to take up your allocated seats you booked, or you may be asked to use the standing area.

Concessions are available on certain performances to full-time students, those aged under 26, senior citizens, children, unwaged, people with registered disabilities, and Unison Members. ‘Theatre Union’ concessions include Equity, BECTU, Stage Management Association, SDUK & Writers Guild. All concessions are subject to availability and must be mentioned at the time of booking.

Some of our shows have strict age restrictions according to content and ID may be required to enter our venues. Please note: under 16s are not permitted into our event spaces unless otherwise specified.

Each ticket is inclusive of a £1.50 restoration levy per ticket (which goes to the upkeep of our home on Dean Street) and a £1.50 booking fee. If we are selling tickets for another venue through the Soho Theatre website, please note there often may be an additional booking fee but this will be stated throughout the booking process. You may be asked to make a donation to help us continue to deliver a program of the best comedy and theatre in the heart of Soho. This is optional, but always gratefully received!

Tickets must not be sold for profit or commercial gain by any outlet – including secondary ticketing sites or personally – other than Soho Theatre or one of its authorised agents. Failure to comply will make your tickets and transactions void and we reserve the right to sell these tickets to another customer.

If a performance is sold out we will endeavour to sell any returned tickets to the waiting list for that specific performance only, subject to availability. If a ticket is resold we will issue a voucher to your Soho Theatre account. The credit will expire after 12 months, from the date of the issue of the voucher and can be used for payment for future bookings at Soho Theatre only.

A re-sale will incur a charge of £3 administration fee per ticket and the seller will be notified of resale via an email. If you do not receive an email by the time of the show, then it is likely we have not been able to resell the tickets.

If your account is credited, due to a resale of tickets, from a voucher or any other means, credit remains on our system for 12 months before it automatically expires. Credit cannot be extended after it has expired.

We accept VISA, Mastercard, Maestro, Delta and American Express.

Once purchased tickets cannot be exchanged to a different production or refunded. In the event we have to cancel a show due to circumstances beyond our control, you have three options; you can change your ticket into a credit for a future performance, take a full refund or donate your ticket price to Soho Theatre. Please note: the restoration levy and booking fees are nonrefundable.

We regret that we will not be able to offer a refund or exchange on your ticket(s) if you are refused entry to a performance due to being late.

Please note – we do not refund tickets due to strike action outside of our control when a performance is still going ahead.

If you don’t make the start of the show, you may either be asked to wait until a suitable break in the performance. For certain shows, we may not be able to get you in at all, due to the nature of the performance space or the show. Our latecomer policy is also laid out on your e-ticket and pre-show email.

Any recording of the performance (either audio or visual) is prohibited, and we reserve the right to refuse entry of, and use of, such equipment on the premises.

We reserve the right to refuse admission or re-entry to a performance; under these circumstances refunds or exchanges will not be offered.

We reserve the right to require a ticket-holder/ticket-holders to leave a performance due to disruptive or disrespectful behaviour towards our staff, artists or other audience members; under these circumstances refunds or exchanges will not be offered.

We reserve the right to alter or amend the programme without prior notice as a result of unforeseen circumstances.

The Management reserves the right to re-seat customers due to unforeseen staging, sightlines or latecomer/re-admittance considerations, under which circumstances the best available seats or standing positions will be chosen as the alternative.
