Digital Channel Manager / Content Producer

We're looking for a Digital Channel Manager / Content Producer to work across our digital output at Soho Theatre..

This new role will work to elevate Soho Theatre Digital’s profile and output, working independently from and collaborating with the wider team to generate exciting, engaging and relevant digital content across all our platforms. A digital specialist with a passion for all social media platforms, you’ll work to grow followers and engage digitally native audiences with Soho Theatre’s brand online.

Responsibilities

Strategy Delivery

  • Be responsible for the delivery of the Soho Theatre Digital Social strategy, particularly in regard to content creation
  • Contribute to and agree engagement, reach and financial annual targets
  • Stay on top of key trends and practices on all social media channels to ensure Soho
  • Theatre’s content works for each, building working relationships with teams at the social media channels where possible
  • Coordinate the research and development of potential digital projects for Soho Theatre, including live broadcast opportunities and podcasts
  • Contribute to the creation, editorial and distribution of Soho Theatre e-comms ensuring
    digital content plays a part across the brand offering
  • Seek out new technology developments and be aware of digital opportunities in the wider creative industries to ensure Soho Theatre keeps apace with this area of work
  • Revenue management and partnerships
    With the Digital/Socials working group, innovate on the development and delivery of new strategies for optimising sales of, and revenue from, existing and new Soho Theatre digital content. This includes current platforms such as Soho Theatre on Demand and Amazon Prime Video UK, alongside identifying new opportunities for content distribution
  • Support and deliver the required elements of brand partnerships across Soho Theatre Digital work
  • Work with the Finance team to report on social media channel revenue, including
    communicating with artists’ representation about revenue splits where relevant

Content Production

  • Contribute creatively to the development of new digital content for Soho Theatre, working independently and with Producing and Communications teams colleagues including internal pitches, scoping, storyboarding and interviewing/hosting as well as editing/postproduction
  • Produce engaging, growth-oriented audio and video content for our social media channels – working to complement the Communications and Artistic teams to bring Soho Theatre’s artistic output digitally
  • Research mechanisms and create processes to deliver accessible versions of captured
    content, including captioned, audio described and foreign language translations.
  • Write creative and engaging, on brand copy and content for social, e-comms and other digital channels in relation to Soho Theatre’s digital output
  • Ensure all content produced is compliant, with relevant copyright permissions in place, and acting as main point of contact for Ofcom

Engagement

With the Communications Officer: Social Media;

  • Build online communities and increase audience engagement across all digital channels, identifying target audiences for individual shows and the wider programme, understanding
    user needs and supporting the delivery of strategies to reach these groups
  • Work together on community engagement and management within the social media
    channels.
  • Contribute to/oversee digital activity using tools such as Google Analytics to gather
    insight, effectiveness and ROI, to inform strategic planning and audience development work and utilise Soho Theatre’s CRM database to drive customer engagement, identify opportunities amongst existing audiences and increase revenue

General

  • Work with Audience and Communications team members on delivering the wider Soho Theatre communications strategy
  • Where applicable, support the Senior management team with all stakeholder
    engagement, funding applications and reporting as required
  • Attend meetings, as required, including taking an active role in Communications meetings
  • Administrate all aspects of the role, including record keeping and reporting
  • Support the aims and objectives of Soho Theatre both internally and externally
  • Uphold and champion Soho Theatre’s Equality, Access and Diversity policies
  • To undertake such other reasonable duties as may from time to time be required
