Sharihan Hadweh: No Cheri
Written and directed by Manal Awad
A person puts barriers and obstacles that stop them from achieving their dreams, no matter how simple or big they are. Disability will not stop the person if he or she has a real will.
Sharihan Hadweh is a blind artist with an artistic sense of humor. She started her artistic career with Al-Harah Theater 5 years ago, acting in the plays Making Senses, It’s OK, and Darkness & Light. Her debut stand-up comedy show No Cheri has toured across Palestine, playing to over 4000 people.
‘Paired with a sardonic, almost cynical delivery, Hadwah’s comedy has bite: righteous anger simmers beneath every bit, fuelling her act with a compelling power.’
