Soho Theatre and Tim Whitehead present:

Ginny Lemon: Bitter

Tue 16 – Sat 20 Jul 24 60 minutes
Crackling stand-up, raucous cabaret, brilliantly chaotic performance art and electrifying original music from the “The Queen of the West Midlands” & original “Bastard of Drag” Ginny Lemon. A not to be missed debut solo show from one of the UK’s most celebrated drag artists.

‘What an asshole’ RuPaul
‘I Love You’ Su Pollard
‘Very, VERY funny’ John Waters
‘Hideous’ Simon Cowell

Ginny Lemon is a midlands based singer-songwriter, improvisational comedienne, TV personality, character actor and spiritualist. Their work explores the intersections of their working-class identity, queerness, disability and taking the piss. Ginny’s distinct acidic wit, aesthetic and unique perspective on life have made them one of the UK’s most celebrated drag and performance artists.

A breakout star of RuPaul’s Drag Race UK Season 2, they have performed to sell-out audiences across the UK and made television appearances for BBC, ITV & Channel 4, including The X Factor, Joe Lycett’s Got Your Back & Celebrity Coach Trip. Their previous work includes as creator of Ginny Lemon’s Pick ‘n’ Mix residency at the Village Inn, Birmingham, a co-creator & cast member for Fantabulosa: A Drag Show For Kids, Mobilise: A Sober Party for the LGBTQ+ Community and starred in the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games Opening Ceremony flying in in a giant lemon shaped hot air balloon.

They released their second album, Tonic, supported by Arts Council, England.
