Jonny Woo’s Un-Royal Variety

He spent three years in New York from 1999 making performance art cabaret with Brandon Olson and, inspired by parties at The Cock and Jackie 60, he returned to London to unleash his unique style of performance and drag with his party Radio Egypt at The George and Dragon and new cabaret spot, Bistrotheque. Jonny Woo has been making solo and group shows since 2003 including ‘A Night Of A Thousand Jay Astons’, ‘International Woman of Mister E’, both of which were made at Bistrotheque and ‘The Wild Side / Transformer’ (as Lou Reed) and ‘Wonder Woo-Man’ all of which he presented at the Edinburgh Fringe and Soho Theatre. He wrote and starred in ‘All Star Brexit Cabaret’ with Richard Thomas which enjoyed a sell-out run with Assembly Edinburgh Fringe in 2018 and was presented at The London Coliseum. He worked with Le Gateau Chocolat on Night at The Musicals internationally, he performed in Alexis Gregory’s Sex Crime at Soho Theatre and The Glory and most recently he played Cleopatra in Antony and Cleopatra at his venue The Divine. He is currently writing a play ‘Silvertown’ about gay life in 1960’s Docklands. He works in clubs and cabaret in London and internationally and is known infamously as the host of iconic club The NYC Downlow at Glastonbury Festival since 2007. His newest solo show, Suburbia recently premiered at Soho Theatre and then to Summerhall as part of their Fringe programme. Jonny has presented his Un-Royal Variety three times previously at The Hackney Empire and is excited to bring it to Soho Theatre, Walthamstow where rising stars from his local queer community will appear alongside the shining international headliners.

Through music, art, film, theater, television, and books, she has upended stereotypes and embraced taboos, challenging social norms and patriarchal power structures while championing LGBTQIA+ rights and issues of gender and sexual identity with biting wit and fearless originality.

Her Amazon Prime special Serious Black Jumper was Emmy longlisted and featured a viral routine that has been watched over 300 million times worldwide. On screen, Jayde has led ITV’s Ruby Speaking, appeared in Take That’s feature film Greatest Days and starred in a host of British comedies. She has also fronted the BAFTA nominated Channel 4 series Snackmasters and Netflix’s Crazy Delicious alongside Heston Blumenthal. In 2022, Jayde became a household name when she waltzed onto Strictly Come Dancing, winning fans with her humour, heart and high kicks. A fearless live performer, she first met Jonny Woo in 2010 when he invited her to take part in a performance art piece at the ICA, a collaboration that sparked her love of blending comedy, cabaret and chaos. Jayde continues that tradition with another duet alongside Jonny in 2025, a hallmark of his Un-royal Variety.

Myra was the winning mentor on Queens For The Night (ITV1), with Coronation Street’s Simon Gregson. She has also appeared on Pointless Celebrities (BBC1), The Weakest Link (BBC1) and Richard Osman’s House of Games (BBC2) as well as reaching the semi finals of Britain’s Got Talent. A talented comedian, singer and actress, Myra made both her feature film debut in Everybody’s Talking About Jamie and her West End debut as The Lady in Death Drop at The Garrick Theatre in 2021.

She has played to sell out crowds from Edinburgh Fringe and Hackney Empire to Sydney Opera House having toured both the UK and Australia. She has performed at Latitude Festival, Club Kabarett in Melbourne, Sydney Gay & Lesbian Mardi Gras, Jonny Woo’s Brexit Cabaret at Hackney Empire, has a residency at The Royal Vauxhall Tavern and has also appeared as a guest performer for the world famous La Clique. In 2025 Myra makes her opera debut in Die Fledermaus at The Grange Festival, before going on to tour the UK with her brand new show Cosmic Empath.

The magically warped Dina Martina materialized at Seattle’s Center on Contemporary Art in 1989, and has since gone on to dazzle audiences at San Francisco’s Great American Music Hall, London’s Soho Theatre, and The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York. Miss Martina is featured alongside Stephen Sondheim, Twyla Tharp, Tony Kushner, Kara Walker and others, in The Work of Art, a book exploring the creative process, by Adam Moss, from Penguin Press.

Sam won Leicester Square Theatre New Comedian of the Year in 2021, has had three Fringe shows transfer to London’s Soho Theatre and was nominated for Best Compere at the Chortle Awards 2024. In 2025 their new show Baby Doomer, was nominated for Best Show at Leicester Comedy Festival before going on to win the prestigious Edinburgh Comedy Award for Best Show.

She started making shows as part of the northern alternative scene alongside double-act partner Tom Burgess as Sam & Tom and has been a prominent member of collectives The Glang Show and Weirdos, as well as being involved in the panel-prize winning Iraq: Out & Loud project. She’s interested in coins, aliens, cats, and having a quiet drink in the corner of the pub on a Wednesday night.

His work is an extreme and colourful mix of performance art, dance, theatre, music, painting and photography. He is the author of more than 40 stage performances and has received numerous international awards for dance and theatre.

Often called a “serial collaborator,” he has worked with various others across his discography, including Craig Armstrong, Shirley Bassey, Courtney Pine, David Arnold, Michael Nyman and perhaps most famously Bernard Butler with whom he created the celebrated The Sound of McAlmont and Butler album in 1995. He has since 2012 diversified into art history, receiving a doctorate of letters from Leicester University in 2024, the same year he curated the Royal Society of Sculptors summer exhibition. He will premiere All About David, his fictionalisation of the life and times of 18th century French artist Jacques Louis David at the National Gallery this year.

She is best known for her hits “Doin’ The Do! And “Where Are You Baby?” which propelled her into the spotlight in 1990. In 2022 after a 30 year hiatus, Betty Boo made an unexpected return with the critically acclaimed, radio smash filled album “Boomerang.” She followed this with her 2024 UK Top 40 album, “Rip Up The Rulebook,” which has been universally described as her best album to date.

35 years later, Betty Boo’s hits remain deeply loved and she is celebrating this monumental milestone with special edition re-releases of her two classic 90s albums: “Boomania” and “GRRR! It’s Betty Boo.” Given the continued dominance of rap and dance music among Gen Z listeners, the reissue of these iconic albums is sure to draw in fans, new and old.

They have been seen dancing in Marvel’s “Eternals” and Netflix’s “Unicorns.” Performed in museums such as The Tate, VA Museum and Somerset House.

Starting as a commercial dancer, she found a creative home with the formidable queer collective Sink the Pink, where she spent 10 years producing wild and illustrious shows at major venues including The O2 Arena and The Troxy, London.

Later, she became the resident choreographer for The NYC Downlow, Block 9, where she was honoured to work with and share the stage alongside incredible artists such as Cyndi Lauper, Shania Twain, Arcade Fire, and Róisín Murphy.

Internationally acclaimed, one of the UK’s top Queer performers, they are recognised for their distinctive stage presence and star quality.

A previous titleholder of ‘Mx Drag Great Britain’, and a prolific drag performer. Debuting as the opening act for RuPaul’s Drag Race stars Alyssa Edwards & Shangela on their
international tour in 2017.

Mimi’s 1st single I’m Beat was released in 2018, and Conniption, their 1st studio album will be released in 2025.

With a BA in Dance from WAAPA (2014), Orgy is known for blending bold humour with movement, and is the artist behind the cult hit single Bussy. A RAW Comedy Finalist (2019), Orgy has been a core performer at NYC Downlow (Glastonbury) from 2022–2025, appearing alongside Jonny Woo, Gaffy, and Cyndi Lauper, and has also performed at festivals across Germany, the UK, and Ireland, as well as at London’s National Theatre (2024).

In Australia, Orgy created solo shows like Sit On My Face and Pretty and Witty and Gay, and duo works including The Audition Room (with Elouise Eftos) and Ghaithora and Mahaliah (with Ruby Teys). Orgy was part of House of Hornecker with A Man To Pet during World Pride in Australia, appeared in Superwog as the “gay best friend,” and most recently worked alongside Jonny Woo for his 2025 Edinburgh Fringe show Suburbia.
