Edinburgh Comedy Nominees 2019
A veritable smorgasbord of comedy nominees (and the winner) for you to tuck into.
…you may know me from such tragedies as Dead Dad (BBC Radio 4’s Good Grief) or Dead Friend (BBC Three’s Happy Man) but this Valentine’s week I’m dead chuffed to perform comedy about shagging blokes. No one dies and it’s set to a beautiful live harp. Straight people welcome so long as they don’t fidget.
‘A warm, endearing, and uplifting show.’BeyondTheJoke
P.S. your dad reckons you’ll love it (he’s just in my shower, says he’ll call in the week)
Harpist – Alexander Thomas
'Rooke flits between extravagant diva and earnest confessor with near pitch-perfect timing in a performance both endearingly vulnerable and invigoratingly free.’
'Rooke’s comedy exposes a deep understanding of the bonds of friendship and love.’
‘Really special… beautifully written, hilarious and heartfelt, an hour spent in Jack’s company is a joy, like a warm hug.’
