An evening of works in progress, CAN’s festival scratch night is part of its ongoing artist development work.

The evening includes a new dance work called Snakes by duo Owen Ridley De-Monick and Jia-Yu Corti, a performance dealing with archetype, identity, desire and the blurring of reality and fantasy.

Theatre maker Emma Clark also presents Gold Mountain about the California Gold Rush, family heritage, and the erasure of voices from historical narratives.

Writer Lucy Chau Lai-Tuen’s Conversations with my Unknown Mother is directed by Jennifer Lim, and a tale of trans-cultural adoption and identity spanning three generations of women across two continents.
