London’s Soho Theatre today announces multiple dates in India, and a Soho Theatre Main House transfer, for in-demand comedian Toussaint Douglass (as seen on BBC, ITV, Comedy Central, Dave), with his Edinburgh Comedy Awards Best Newcomer-nominated pigeon-heavy show ACCESSIBLE PIGEON MATERIAL.
Following a critically-acclaimed sold-out Edinburgh Fringe run, and two sold-out runs at in Soho Theatre Upstairs, Soho’s intimate studio space, Douglass will take his Fringe debut hour to India for four performances 19 – 22 March 2026: The Quorum Mumbai on 19 March, The Quorum Gurugram on 20 March, Mumbai’s NCPA on 21 March, and Bengaluru’s The Comedy Theatre on 22 March; followed by a run in Soho Theatre’s Main House 26 – 28 March 2026. Douglass came through Soho Theatre’s Sketch Lab, one of the organisation’s talent development programmes for performers and creatives and performed at the theatre’s Soho Rising festival in 2023. Since debuting at Edinburgh Fringe 2025 as part of Soho Theatre’s festival programme, ACCESSIBLE PIGEON MATERIAL has started a national conversation around pigeons, with Toussaint appearing on BBC Radio London and writing a column in The Guardian in defence of the misunderstood birds.
This tour is part of Soho Theatre’s ongoing cultural exchange with international partners, and India in particular, to strengthen its global connections and enrich its programme. As the driving force behind the ‘unstoppable rise of Indian comedy in the UK’ (The Guardian, May 2024), over the past decade Soho Theatre has introduced over 30 Indian artists to the UK, on stages ranging from Soho Theatre and Soho Theatre Walthamstow to the Royal Albert Hall, and the many stages at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, including Abishek & Nirmal, Aditi Mittal, Anirban Dasgupta, Biswa Kalyan Rath, Kanan Gill, Kaneez Surka, Prashasti Singh, Rahul Dua, Rohan Joshi, Sapan Verma, Shamik Chakrabarti, Shreeja Chaturvedi, Suhani Shah, Sumukhi Suresh, Urooj Ashfaq, Vir Das, and Zakir Khan. Soho Theatre also produced dates in Indian venues with UK comedians Ahir Shah, Catherine Bohart, Janine Harouni, Lauren Pattison, Nina Conti and Olga Koch.
Starting out as a creator of endearingly shoddy DIY green screen sketches and moving on to subtly subversive guerrilla documentary-style satirical content, Toussaint quickly caught the attention of the UK comedy industry for his unique comedic POV, which has led to appearances on Comedians Giving Lectures (Dave), The Stand Up Sketch Show (ITVX), Late Night Mash (Dave), David Mitchell’s Outsiders (BBC), Richard Osman’s House of Games (BBC) as well as writing credits on shows including Have I Got News For You (BBC One), Ant & Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway (ITV), The Russel Howard Hour (SKY), Dead Ringers (BBC Radio 4), James Acaster’s Springleaf: A True(ish) Crime Podcast and many more.
Accessible Pigeon Material is directed by Soho Theatre’s Comedy Producer Lee Griffiths.

Hello friend. Open your mind, take out what’s inside and wish it well on its future endeavours. You’re going to need the space for this one. I’m talking life, love, loss, finding your way and pigeons… quite a lot about pigeons actually… it’s pretty pigeon-heavy to be honest. So please join me, Toussaint Douglass, for an hour of joyfully absurd, charmingly awkward stand-up.
