Makrooh Presents: Sudan’na Foag

Mon 2 Sep 24 180 minutes
A night of performance and community.

Sudan has been engulfed in a war since 15 April 2023, and its civilians have been paying the price.

Currently, Sudanese people are facing the worst famine of the last 40 years, nearly non-existent healthcare, mass displacement, and daily armed attacks. Set against active efforts to silence Sudanese people, and prevent the world from listening, this war has become one of the most profound humanitarian crises on the planet.

As artists, directors, and organisers, we are coming together to use our talents and skills in the best ways we know how. So join us in raising our voices as we will be continuing conversation, deepening understanding, and gathering resources for Sudanese people.

This is how we build up and sustain our community: by working towards our intertwined liberation together. The night will include poetry, music, and an auction. All proceeds from the auction as well as Makrooh’s share of ticket income after costs will be donated, providing vital resources and services for Sudanese people within Sudan, as well as for those journeying out.

Headliners to be announced via Instagram @Makroohuk.

We look forward to welcoming you!
