Raised in Hyattsville, Maryland, Jermaine began performing stand-up in 2006 while still in high school. On his 20th birthday, he boarded a Megabus and moved to New York City with three pieces of luggage and a dream.
Wildly funny and full of infectious charm, Jermaine has toured the US as a stand-up comic. Named one of Variety’s ‘New Faces’ in 2012 at the Just For Laughs comedy festival in Montreal, in 2017 Forbes’ featured him in their highly coveted ‘30 Under 30’ list.
Jermaine’s television credits include a recurring role in the Judd Apatow produced Crashing, Robot Chicken, BoJack Horseman, The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, The Late Late Show with James Corden and the 69th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards, for which he was the announcer.
He can next be seen in director Boots Riley’s Sorry to Bother You. Produced by Forest Whitaker, the movie premiered to rave reviews at the Sundance Film Festival and will be released in June 2018.
