Leah is smart, kind, recently promoted, and finally seems to ‘have it all’ when she gets to be the Mrs to Mr Ben Cavendish. But she finds herself revolting; revolting against a society and a judicial system that just won’t listen.
Fabric gives voice to one woman’s experience of sexual violence and trauma. Through Leah we bear witness to how grey areas seep into everyday life, and how a million small things – some seemingly harmless – can result in one terrible act.
Written by multi award-winning Abi Zakarian (I Have A Mouth, A Thousand Yards) and directed by Hannah Hauer-King (Fury, Grotty), Damsel Productions brings this poignant and brutal piece, that roars with a needed fury, to Soho Theatre. In support of Solace Women’s Aid, Fabric will open at Soho Theatre and tour non-traditional spaces in four London boroughs, bringing this story into the heart of our communities.
On Thursday 20th September 2018, there will be a post-matinee panel discussion led by Solace.
Please note: Fabric describes events related to sexual violence and trauma; please contact Soho Theatre if you would like to know more before booking. At each show information and support will be available from Solace.
