‘I haven’t laughed as consistently and uncontrollably at any show’ LMAOnaise

Sold-out houses, critical acclaim and newcomer award nominations saw Demi Adejuyigbe nail the landing of his UK debut hour Demi Adejuyigbe Is Going To Do One (1) Backflip during Ed Fringe this year. For those who missed it, Soho Theatre are delighted to announce the brightening of everyone’s January with a limited 3 week return run: tickets on general sale 10am Wednesday 9 October (with Friends & Members on sale at noon today).

Directed by sketch masters BriTANicK, the very special comedy hour made its UK debut in August this year as part of Soho Theatre’s Edinburgh Fringe 2024 programme. Word-of-mouth and early critical acclaim of the show, featuring original comedic songs, presentations, bits, and one (1) single backflip, quickly saw the entire Ed Fringe run – and the quickest of London debuts in Soho Theatre Downstairs directly thereafter – sell-out.

Demi is a writer, comedian, filmmaker, and a musician (up until now) best known for his podcasts Punch Up the Jam and Gilmore Guys, as well as his popular September 21st video series. British born and Texas raised, Demi’s first job when moving to LA was an internship with Red Hour, Ben Stiller’s production company, before moving across to Funny Or Die, Vine and multiple Emmy Award nominated writers rooms (including Peacock’s The Amber Ruffin Show).

His Vines, mashups, memes and podcasts have previously seen him labelled ‘the funniest person on the internet’ (The Ringer) with writer/producer credits including NBC’s The Good Place, Netflix’s NEON, Apple TV’s Strange Planet and The Late, Late Show with James Corden.

Demi Adejuyigbe Is Going To Do One (1) Backflip returns to London’s Soho Theatre for three (3) weeks only.

SOHO THEATRE is London’s most vibrant producer for new theatre, comedy and cabaret. Our central London venue is established as one of UK’s busiest with a buzzing bar, lively audiences and diverse year-round festival programme with a queer, punk, counter-culture flavour. In 2025 our second venue Soho Theatre Walthamstow opens. Work extends beyond our venues with a full touring programme and strong international connections with New York, Melbourne and Mumbai. Edinburgh Fringe is a huge part of our year, we present many shows and scout hundreds more and we are UK’s leading presenter of Indian comedians. Our filmed comedy specials can be seen on international airlines and Soho Theatre Player. And our artist development and participation programmes are as important as the work on our stages. Soho Theatre is a charity and social enterprise.
