After a two-year hiatus since departing KERB at Seven Dials Market, Curry On Naanstop is making a much-anticipated return to W1, now serving at the Soho Theatre Bar.
A Culinary Journey from Mumbai to Soho
Founded in 2018 by Swati Varanasi, a former banker turned award-winning chef, Curry On Naanstop began as a humble food truck and swiftly gained recognition as a powerhouse in the UK’s food scene. Drawing inspiration from her childhood in Mumbai, Swati has redefined Indian street food with her innovative approach and deep-rooted passion. In 2024, she appeared as a MasterChef pop-up judge and clinched victory in the prestigious BBC-ranked chef competition, Ranked.
Her journey has been fuelled by the unwavering support of her husband, Karthikk Kandala, whose dedication and operational expertise have been instrumental in expanding Curry On Naanstop from a single food truck to a thriving culinary venture. While Swati is the creative force behind the brand, Karthikk has been the driving energy ensuring its seamless growth.
A Perfect Partnership with Soho Theatre
Soho Theatre, a cultural hub that champions performers from across India, provides the ideal setting for Curry On Naanstop’s revival. Nestled in the heart of Dean Street, its lively ground-floor café now serves as the perfect venue to enjoy authentic Mumbai Street food from midday until late, six days a week. Whether you’re looking for a quick, flavourful lunch or a late-night bite after an evening in Soho, this is street food at its finest.
Mark Godfrey, Soho Theatre’s Executive Director & CEO said: ‘A warm welcome to Swati, Karthikk and the brilliant Curry On Naanstop team from Soho Theatre. Their take on Mumbai Street Food – innovative, authentic and delicious – sits perfectly alongside our lively bar and cafe. Great for lunches, pre-show dinner or late-night supper, it’s great on its own or as the perfect accompaniment to London’s most vibrant programme of new theatre, comedy and cabaret, with Soho Theatre also being the UK’s leading producer of Indian and South Asian comedy’
