Walthamstow Ziggurat Bar

Located at Stalls level, the Ziggurat Bar is one of the building’s most iconic spaces. Grade II listed, its ceiling forms part of the original 1930s design. Named after the stepped temples of ancient Mesopotamia, it features a dramatic, layered geometric ceiling made up of striking tiered forms.

Already featured on Strictly Come Dancing, as well as in photoshoots for Rachel Zegler and SNL UK, the space has a unique visual appeal.

The bar can be closed off for private hire, making it ideal for parties, pre- and post-event hosting, and receptions, offering a distinctive setting that’s guaranteed to make an impression. The space is arranged with cabaret-style tables and bench seating, with a capacity of 149.

Access

There is a lift to support step-free access. Please let us know if you have any additional access requirements. There are accessible toilets on the same floor.

Availability is dependent on the Soho programme of shows, matinees and workshops, general hours are:

Monday to Friday: 9am – 6pm
Saturday: Midday – 6pm
Sunday: 10am – 10pm

As we’re usually closed to the public, Sunday rates are variable, and are bespoke to your event. Contact us at hires@sohotheatre.com if you’d like to hire us on a Sunday.
