She was the Host and went to become one of the Judges on the Amazon Original Comicstaan. She created and acted in the Amazon Prime Original Pushpavalli which won her a Filmfare (SRK has 15). Her first stand up special Don’t Tell Amma was well received by audiences but not by her mother. She is one of the BAFTA Breakthroughs from India in 2022, getting her one step closer to working with Phoebe Waller-Bridge.
Sumukhi recently started her own company, Motormouth Writers, that focuses on creating shows and films centering female characters. Currently working on a Young Adult Amazon Original and 4 feature films, Sumukhi plans to have a meltdown on stage with her new special, Hoemonal. You will be buying tickets for that, btw.
