Sex. Love. Lettuce.

Join gorgeous clown Trash Salad in her quest for connection: a genre-bending burlesque adventure, using lip sync, strip tease and song on a mission to understand intimacy. Some call it a clown opera; a sexual odyssey; a compost-heap romance. Trash calls it a joyful queer-femme love story in the shape of a salad. Come and see the piece that’s made audiences ‘laugh, cry, and nearly piss’.

‘A force of nature.’
★★★★ Wee Review

Rosa Garland is a clown, burlesque artist and theatre maker. She likes things that are slimy and sexy. She trained at Ecole Philippe Gaulier.
Trash Salad is a burlesque clown adventure, her solo comedy debut, which had sell-out performances at Edinburgh Fringe 2022 (Pleasance) and VAULT Festival 2023. Rosa also appears as Ron in environmental drag duo Alan and Ron, who have been found at Tate Modern Lates and Camden People’s Theatre. Their show ‘Two Super Super Hot Men’ was recommended by Lyn Gardner as a VAULT Festival highlight 2020. She also works with Poltergeist collective, creating nerdy, heartfelt stories that experiment with form across a variety of media. They were named ‘one of the UK’s best young theatre companies’ by the Guardian, and were recipients of New Diorama & Underbelly’s Untapped Award 2019, and the Samuel French New Play Award 2018.

Birthed by award-winning performance maker Rosa Garland.

NOMINEE: Vault Festival Innovation Award 2023.
