Join NYC-based stand-up comedian Ricky Sim for the London debut of his critically acclaimed show.
‘Delivers an intimate performance, so heartfelt and sincere it barely feels like a show at all…. Packs a punch’
Steve Bennett, Chortle

Combining stand-up and storytelling, this autobiographical hour explores the time when Ricky was grappling with the decision to come out to his Chinese-Malaysian immigrant mother, just as she was diagnosed with terminal cancer – talk about good timing.

Wed 24 Jan, 10pm | Post Show Q&A: In conversation with Ricky Sim

Pink dot LDN is hosting a conversation with Ricky Sim for his London debut. Dr. Hsien will interview Ricky to explore the comedian’s creative process as someone with roots in Malaysia, living in New York, grappling with generational differences in how being LGBTQ+ is perceived. In so doing we hope to surface the different influences which Ricky channels in his work. The audience is also invited to direct questions of their own to Ricky. Expect a lively and personal discussion.

Hsien’s area of interest is in LGBTQ+ communities and social change, with a particular focus on how choirs and culture bring people together.
