Soho Theatre Walthamstow is a beautifully restored iconic theatre in the heart of Waltham Forest.
Our behind the scenes tours will take you through the history of the building from its origins as a 1930s Spanish baroque cine-variety, then a swinging 60s music venue, a much loved local cinema to a brand-new home for London’s most vibrant producer of new theatre, comedy and cabaret.
Features of the tour include:
- Original features from grand Moorish arches to modern lighting rigs
- The ‘arrested decay’ decor that keeps its soul intact
- Brand new theatre spaces, buzzing with Soho Theatre energy
- The story of the community who campaigned to save the building
