James Austin Johnson: The Age of JAJ

Mon 5 – Sat 10 Jun 23 60 minutes
The New York Times has called him 'one of SNL’s most versatile celebrity impressionists.'

Comedian James Austin Johnson brings his stand-up comedy hour to a nation near you. The stalwart comedy vet* (*been on Saturday Night Live less than two years) has promised this new show is his most balls-to-wall and norm-challenging yet, because in a world where comics must tackle every hot button social issue with a totally-un-PC opinion, JAJ doesn’t really do that.

JAJ brings a literate dumb-smart-ness to this set full of impressions, one-liners, bits, gags and more, leaving audiences with the conclusion that they truly have “seen it all” now and a pervading sense that all other standup comedy has been absolutely ruined for them. Come see the comedian that Vanity Fair called “the best Trump impersonator,” a performer whose comedy the Atlantic called “maniacal and mechanical”, the man that Entertainment Weekly called “one of the most exciting new [SNL] cast members in years, a cross between Dana Carvey and Darrell Hammond. He’s that kind of talent.”
