“If my son was hypothetically gay, hypothetically, where would the Greek church stand with that?”

The church said “Soulla, you know, we love the sinner”.

I said “Shut up”.

North London’s Cypriot goddess Soulla brings her crazy, unpredictable madness to life in Soho. But don’t be nervous. You’re Jennifer Lopez.

Greek Expectations dives into the life of a Greek influencer navigating the highs and lows of family, culture, and the mess of everyday life. Get ready for an audacious night of laughter, unapologetic craziness, some tears, and pure joy.

Created by Alexander Theo, a Soho Theatre Labs alumni. Originally developed at the Bush Theatre by Alexander Theo and Olisa Odele.

Reviews

'The most bonkers Greek babe since Aphrodite. Soulla puts the riot in Cypriot! Alex Theo is one funny boy!'
Jack Rooke (creator of BIG BOYS, Happy Man, Good Grief)
'A whole underbelly of relationships and surprisingly poignant family stories... I was laughing and crying at the same time. Alex slips in and out of a multitude of characters from Soulla’s life and the believability is so impressive. I need more Soulla in my life!'
Mawaan Rizwan (Comedian, Actor, Writer)
