Gary Gulman: Grandiloquent

Mon 6 - Sat 11 Oct 25 80 minutes
A hilarious new show about insecurity, empathy, self-acceptance and how a thoughtful boy learned to use humour, reading and writing to cope with the consequences of his parents' blunders.

Learn why a seemingly confident middle-aged man feels most comfortable in a large room where hundreds of strangers are laughing at him.

Fresh form a sell-out Off-Broadway run at the Lucille Lortel Theatre, one of the most respected comics in the US makes his UK debut with his critically acclaimed one-man show.

‘Gulman takes wordplay to another level with an acuity that few other stand-ups can match. His awareness of himself and the world around him is peerless.’
New York Times
‘Whip-smart, witty, and surprisingly moving.’
New York Theatre Guide

Gary Gulman has made five masterful TV specials including his most recent universally acclaimed stand-up specials for HBO Max, Born On 3rd Base, lending his meticulous comedic craft to the current Tale of Two Cities-esque wealth gap, and The Great Depresh, a tour de force look at mental illness, which is equal parts hilarious and inspiring. In 2019, he appeared in the international blockbuster Joker and can most recently be seen co-starring with Amy Schumer in the hit Hulu comedy series, Life & Beth.

Directed by Tony Award winner Moritz von Stuelpnagel.
