A workshop production of a fabulous new musical comedy based on the extraordinary life of artist, potter and national treasure, Grayson Perry.
What the hell is normal? Follow Grayson, as he struggles to make his mark in life, never quite feeling like he fits in.
From the wrong class, wearing the wrong dress and making the wrong choices, Grayson journeys from his Essex working class council estate to the dizzy heights of the Tate Modern – an irreverent odyssey via marital breakdown, career disasters and some life-coaching from a six-foot teddy bear.
With music by Richard ‘Jerry Springer’ Thomas, book by Sara-Ella Ozbek and lyrics & life story by Sir Grayson Perry this is a show about growing up to be a man, with themes of domestic violence, therapy, art and cross-dressing – you know, all your usual musical comedy tropes.
Cast to be announced.
