If you’re a cabaret or drag performer already performing on the circuit, develop your skills with industry advice and masterclasses on our Cabaret & Drag Lab Plus.
Come join us for our all new Cabaret & Drag Lab Plus. This is a 10-week course for cabaret and drag artists with 20+ gigs under their belt who want to take their work to the next level. It will be led by Me the Drag Queen, an icon of the UK drag scene who has performed in Berlin, New York, LA, San Francisco, Helsinki, Stockholm, Zagreb and many more – and runs the well-known Not Another Drag Competition.
The course will support artists in expanding their skillset, expanding their material, trying new ideas and honing their act.
The Cabaret & Drag Lab Plus group meet weekly on Fridays, with a public sharing at the final session at our Dean Street venue, to celebrate all you’ve learned over the course. We ask that participants commit to attending all 10 weeks.
Course structure:
Sessions are every Friday from 10.30-1pm unless otherwise stated.

Applications & Fees:
£150 (Partial and full bursaries are available to those on Universal Credit and other welfare benefits. However, if cost is a barrier to participating, contact us at engagement@sohotheatre.com and we can discuss payment options

Me The Drag Queen
Cabaret & Drag Labs Plus: facilitatorA master of lip sync and hilarious host with an aesthetic best viewed through a pair of sunglasses, Me is one of the top Drag artists the UK has to offer.
She’s performed across Europe (Berlin, Helsinki, Reykjavik, Stockholm, Zagreb) and America (New York, San Francisco, Philadelphia, Austin, LA) and calls London her home.
Me is a regular visiting professional at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, course leader at the Soho Theatre Drag and Cabaret Lab and has also taught at Rose Bruford, DeMontford University and The Place delivering sessions on drag, cabaret and theatrical design.
As the Host, producer and lead mentor of Not Another Drag Competition, Me has helped launch the career of over 100 of London’s best, new and emerging drag artists.
