Amrou/Glamrou is head diva of the drag troupe Denim.

Following a stint in our Young Company, Amrou/Glamrou has gone on to create a drag super girl group, perform, write and direct on projects across the country and become part of the Soho family.

Soho Theatre Young Company

Amrou/Glamrou first came to our attention when they joined our Soho Theatre Young Company Comedy Stand-Up.

They are also an alumni of our Soho Theatre Young Company Writer’s Lab.

Amrou/Glamrou founded Denim – a queer drag all-girl pop-group. Denim have been conquering London’s alternative cabaret and queer scenes over the past few years.

In 2017 and 2018 Denim stormed the Edinburgh Festival Fringe garnering a host of rave reviews including five stars in The Scotsman and premiering their new Denim Juniors; a drag show specifically made for children.

Amrou/Glamrou is signed to United Agents as a writer, director and performer.

They have a feature script in development with BBC Films, a drag musical in development with the BFI, and a comedy TV series with Big Talk Productions, Nefertiti.
