Holly Mandel (LA 'Groundlings' alum, 'Improvolution' founder) will be teaching a 3-hour workshop based on her original 'Good Girls Aren't Funny' presentation.

Through discussion, inquiry, and group exercises we will delve into what the Good Girl is, how she works in us all, and how she effects what we do and how we think. What ‘shoulds’ are still driving us…and what lies beyond them?

We will also, simultaneously identify and strengthen the part of us that is NOT our Good Girl…the free, self-directed, autonomous, authentic part. We all know it — bold, fearless, confident…filling us with ease and inspiration and a sense of limitlessness.

We will use improv not as the end result, but as the means to both expose our Good Girls and bolster our unselfconscious, bold creator within. Women needn’t be improvisers to attend, or even performers. Just an interest in going beyond your Good Girl.

*A limited number of bursaries are available for this event, for those receiving Job Seeker’s Allowance, welfare benefits, or participants who are in need of access support. Please contact laura@sohotheatre.com for details.
