Soho Labs Alumni Present: The Night Before Pride

As we celebrate 50 years of Pride in the UK, we’re hosting a bonanza of a mixed bill dedicated to celebrating our very own LGBTQ+ talent, showcasing acts who have previously participated in one or more of our Soho Theatre Labs courses.

Expect to be joined by the talents of:

Charlie George – Your MC for the evening is an award-winning comedian and writer, with credits including BBC Asian Network Live and BBC’s No Country for Young Women Podcast and winner of LGBTQ+ NEW COMEDIAN OF THE YEAR 2019.

Alex Theo (Soulla) – ‘Make way for the indestructible Soulla’
Soulla is a character created by British Cypriot comedian Alexander Theo who is very much known for expressing her mind… and telling everyone exactly what she is thinking.

Victoria Olsina – LGBTQ+ New Comedian of The Year 2022 WINNER. Self-described as ‘a lesbian Argentinian immigrant who came to the UK to steal jobs and women’.

Kuan-Wen Huang – Kuan-Wen Huang is an emerging comedian, writer and actor from Taiwan, with major breakthroughs on the UK circuit in the last two years including Comedy Central Live.

Mawaan Rizwan – Your headliner for the evening is the electric Mawaan Rizwan. Mawaan is the BBC’s very first Young People’s Comedy Laureate, and has appeared on Live at The Apollo, HBO’s Two Weeks to Live and The Road to Beijing with Queer Eye‘s Jonathan Van Ness. He holds the record for the first (known) attempt to fill an egg with helium on Taskmaster.
