Autumn Theatre Season 2019
World premieres, Edinburgh transfers and returning Soho favourites - a new season of surprise and subversion.
Michelle Collins is the friend you never knew you had (and aren't sure you wanted). It’s this very unwavering need to be loved that gets her out of her queen-sized b every morning, ready to face the day.
Making her long-awaited UK debut with her new show Strong Monster, we go on a long-legged journey through Michelle’s often charmed and cursed life — a sort of “Lady Costanza” existence, where every blessing is met with an equal-if-not-greater problem. Through her off-the-cuff improvised stories, pictures, song, and absolutely no dance, Michelle’s show is a one-of-a-kind experience not to be missed.
Time Out New York has called Michelle Collins “the fastest mind in comedy,” and no, she is not the Michelle Collins of Cindy Beale fame, apologies to those in line realizing this now. Perhaps best known for her one daring season on The View, which is like Loose Women only hosted by an Oscar winner (not Michelle), she now wakes up at the crack of D to host her own SiriusXM morning radio show The Michelle Collins Show. She’s also known as the Queen of the Live Aftershow, having hosted ABC’s Bachelor In Paradise: After Paradise and TLC’s 90 Day Fiance: Live, and Little Talk Live for Lifetime, and was America’s very first Eurovision host, the part of this bio she cherishes the most.
Michelle is a contributing writer to Vanity Fair, GQ and Elle.
'Thank God, she's back. The Joan Rivers of her generation hits with anecdotes, songs and slides from a life too off-the-rails for a reality TV show. Keep up with fast-paced stories of a Miami childhood, celebrity run-ins and dating disasters. Not to be missed.'
