Neil is a working-class plumber from Sheffield.
He’s been called in on short notice to fix a leak at Soho Theatre, so a contemporary dance troupe can continue performing their very important piece exploring the relationship between pomegranates and vulvas.
But what happens when a man constricted by his own dogmatic masculinity is given an uncharted medium to explore his unanswered questions? His tense relationship with his daughter explodes into the spotlight, forcing him to finally examine why most of his affection is reserved for brown sauce on fried spam.
Gush was shortlisted for the Tony Craze award, after having a sell-out debut at the Camden People’s Theatre as part of Figs In Wigs’ Calm Down Dear festival.
