Autumn Theatre Season 2019
World premieres, Edinburgh transfers and returning Soho favourites - a new season of surprise and subversion.
After a sell-out global pop tour that came to an earth-shattering finale in Edinburgh last year – Denim broke up.
Humanity has been in mourning. But now, through pop, laughter and love, these five queens will reunite for one night only. All month.
DENIM is an all-singing, all-dancing, all laugh-inducing queer pop girl band for the ages. For the upcoming years, the Denims have decided to peel back from the stadium shows and perform in intimate venues around the world to re-connect to their 13-billion-strong fan base. For whilst superstardom has its kicks, it’s the charity gigs where the queens feel most at home. Glamrou La Denim, Aphrodite Greene, Crystal OBE, Elektra Cute & Shirley DuNaughty are all about giving back (they have done so with 0.000062% of their earnings to date)
'It's drag, but not as we know it – and that's all to the good.'
'Electrifying pop covers and heartfelt messages about love and acceptance set the stage on fire.'
'Genuinely sensational vocals.'
'As the motherf***er of all girl bands, Denim did it all, then came back for more.'
'Denim are all about showing the power of being true to your identity in a time of global division. And having the best goddamn party at the same time.'
'The assertive celebration of individuality and diversity is tonic for the spirits... you’ll be dancing in joyous solidarity.'
