Have you ever wondered how your favourite performers take their shows from a blank page in a notebook to a packed room in stitches?
At Soho Theatre we are delighted to bring you the second series of our one day masterclasses taking place over Zoom featuring some of the top performers working in the industry today.
Each performer will be looking back at their previous shows to take you step by step through their creative process. From developing the idea, to performing on the opening night and beyond, they will be letting you in on their secrets.
Mark Watson
Mark is a comedian, author, and regular on TV shows such as Qi (BBC2) Taskmaster (Dave) and Bear Grylls’ Celebrity Island (Channel 4). He is also known for taking on the daunting task of hosting 24 hour marathon comedy shows to raise money for charity (his most recent one raised over £44,000 in aide of FareShare, Hospice Income Generation Network, and the Nextup Comedy Heckle The Virus fund). In this Masterclass Mark will be looking back at past shows and talking through his writing process from original idea to performing on the first night alongside looking at the numerous other areas within comedy in which he works.
Places on the masterclass cost £50 and are strictly limited to ensure that everyone has the opportunity to ask questions and learn as much as possible in a more intimate online setting.
