Thanks. Where are you from?
Grew up in Leamington Spa, became a comic in London. From those tattoos it looks like you’re not unfamiliar with Leam… Hardcore.

What brings you here?
What brings you here? I’m interviewing brilliant comedian Paul Chowdhry on Monday night as part of a series of live ‘Comedian’s Comedian’ podcasts.

Ooh, Anchor Steam if you’ve got it, but I’ll settle for a Brooklyn.

Pork pie, ta.

So, what’s so special about your comedy?
Well at standup I’m ‘a master of the form’ (i newspaper) (what form though? Unclear), but my podcast is ‘Endlessly riveting’ (Guardian) (fair).

Who’s your biggest comic influence?
Well in a roundabout way the podcast wouldn’t exist if it weren’t for Simon Evans, and he’s one of the best comedians out there, so let’s plug that master craftsman.

Do you come here often?
All the time; got Jeremy Hardy and Jo Brand coming up on the live podcasts (tickets available) and my own show Compared To What here in May/June (plenty tickets available).

Where are you going after here?
Dublin, Harrogate, Melbourne. The so-called ‘holy trinity’.
