Hi! Nice to meet you, what’s your name?
Gabriel Bisset-Smith.

Where are you from?
Lundaaaan. Everyone think’s I’m posh cause of my second name but I grew up on a council estate behind Kings Cross station. My mum’s Jamaican & my dad’s from Manchester. They gave me a double-barrelled named because they thought it would get me ahead in life. They didn’t realise it’s the connections posh people have that get them ahead in life. So now I have no connections and no one will lend me money. Thanks mum and dad.

What brings you here?
I needed the toilet.

Sorry, didn’t get you a drink, what would you like?
Depends if I’m going for a number one or a number two. Shot of sambuca for a number one. Espresso Martini for a number two.

Some crisps or nuts?
Olives. Always Olives.

So, what’s so special about your show?
Well I tell the most original and funny joke in the universe. And there’s some cat video’s in it to so there’s something for everyone.

How did the idea of the show come about?
After years of doing Edinburgh with my comedy act Guilt & Shame and constantly having to come up with something new and original. The show is really about what we go through to create a new piece of work and who we’re willing to kill to get there. I suppose you could say it’s a smart deconstruction of the comedy world but I wouldn’t want to put words into your mouth.

Do you come here often?
I previewed my first ever comedy show at the Soho about six years ago so I guess you could say I’m a fixture. Or a squatter.

Where are you going after here?
The only way is up. The downstairs toilets are busy.
