Soho Theatre’s Comedy Associate, Lee Griffiths, talks all things comedy in this 60 minute Q&A with some of Soho’s alumni success stories and working comedians. The place to be for anyone interested in getting into comedy, is a comedian or just interested in what it talks to make it in the industry.
The panel includes:
Chaired by Lee Griffiths, Soho Theatre’s Comedy Associate and one fifth of epic, Edinburgh Award Nominated sketch group, ‘Late Night Gimp Fight’.
A multi-talented, multi-disciplined creative artist, with extensive experience in Comedy and Drama. As a stand-up comedian, Archie is a confident, cheerful, provocative and most importantly hilarious award-winning stand-up comedian armed with a natural stage presence, quick acerbic wit and a ‘winning smile.’ As a writer, his work has been produced at the Bush Theatre, Lyric Hammersmith, Orange Tree Theatre, Royal Court, and in New York at the New Light Theatre for theatre, BBC Radio 4, and Sky One for TV show.
Being Leyton based, Sadia is passionate about sharing her wisdom to her locals. She is a British Asian Stand-up comedian, writer and BBC Producer. In 2018 Sadia launched her critically acclaimed BBC podcast No Country For Young Women which has enjoyed global success and consistent reviews from audiences and critics alike including ‘Best audio 2018’ as featured by Miranda Sawyer for the Observer and Apple’s Top picks for 2018.
An award-winning comedian, writer and performer. She has had sold-out runs at Soho Theatre, her book My Broken Vagina was published this year and she has written comedy for Channel 4. She is a sketch comedy course leader at Soho Theatre.
The Edinburgh Comedy Award Best Newcomer 2019 nominee, combining his confident on stage presence, dark humour, surreal material and one-of-a-kind customised keyboard, Huge has quickly risen to become one the most exciting, unique acts in the UK. In August 2019, his debut solo show The Carpark was a smash hit at the Edinburgh Festival and resulted in a Best Newcomer Nomination. In January 2020 he performed a sell-out run of The Carpark at the Soho Theatre in London. TV appearances include Harry Hill’s Clubnite (Channel 4), Jonathan Ross’ Comedy Club and Out There (ITV), Hypothetical and Comedians Against Living Miserably (Dave), The Now Show (BBC Radio 4), The Stand Up Sketch Show (ITV2), Guessable, Comedy Central At The Comedy Store, The Comedy Central Chart Show and being the first ever musical battle on Roast Battle UK (Comedy Central).
