Through a series of talks, group discussions and writing exercises this workshop looks at different ways of using existing stories, from myths to newspaper stories, to develop your own original works. Along the way you will look at the arcane dramatic arts of plot structure, character development and journey. Prior to the workshop it’s recommended you read Sophocles’ Oedipus the King, Aristotle’s Poetics and Colin Teevan’s How Many Miles to Basra?
