Fancy Chance invites you aboard her debut solo show: a globe-trotting, time-travelling mini-spectacle – with turbulent polemics and unexpectedly poignant stop-offs – taking you from her humble origins as Korean refugee to darling of the London cabaret scene. In-flight entertainment will include offbeat comedy, original song, and outrageous film. Directed by Nathan Evans.

Fancy’s work incorporates burlesque, drag, circus, and live art. In 2009 she was crowned ‘Alternative Miss World’ and in 2010 ‘London’s Top Tranny’. She was also shortlisted for ‘Best Alternative Performer’ in the 2013 London Cabaret Awards, was recently part of Live Lates for Penny Woolcock’s Utopia and has also recently collaborated on Dr. Carnesky’s Incredible Bleeding Woman here over Christmas.

Age Recommendation: 16+
Running Time: 60 mins

Politics, power and how we lost the plot

Ayesha Hazarika, MBE, started her career as a stand-up comedian playing clubs across the country.

She then took what she thought was a natural diversion into the Labour Party as a Special Adviser working for Gordon Brown, Harriet Harman and Ed Miliband.

Since leaving front line politics she’s become a much sought after commentator writing for the FT, Guardian, Evening Standard, New Statesman and Grazia.

Ayesha has also returned to her stand-up roots. Her one-woman show Tales from the Pink Bus was a sell out hit at the 2016 Edinburgh festival and she’s been in huge demand on TV and radio recently starring as a guest on Matt Forde’s Unspun for Dave.
Adam Kay sits at a grand piano and sings ‘bracingly intelligent, enormously funny songs’ (Times). In the key of A minor.

In this brand new collection of wonderfully off-kilter music and stand-up, Adam Kay is in reflective mood – taking a look back at his former job as a hospital doctor.

With sell-out tours and sell-out Edinburgh Fringe seasons, his cutting-edge, darkly humorous re-imaginings of modern day pop and rock classics have gained him a cult following throughout the UK.

He is the frontman of Amateur Transplants, with over 20 million YouTube hits (including the iconic London Underground Song). He has sold out seven years at Edinburgh, is a regular voice on Radio 4’s Now Show, and a prolific sitcom writer (BBC1, BBC2, BBC3, C4).

But before all that he was a doctor, and he’d like to tell you all about it.

Two of the most distinctive voices in comedy come together in this incredible double bill headlining show, as Tim Heidecker makes his UK stand up debut alongside ‘America’s Funnyman’ Neil Hamburger.

Comedian Tim Heidecker is often recognised for his collaborations with fellow comedian Eric Wareheim. The duo created and starred in two successful Adult Swim series Tom Goes to the Mayor (2004) and Tim and Eric Awesome show, Great Job! (2007).

The two have also released several comic albums, created and starred in the film Tim and Eric’s Billion Dollar Movie (2012) and co-directed a series of popular Old Spice commercials starring actor Terry Crews.

Heidecker has featured in films including Bridesmaids (2011) and The Comedy (2012) and released a number of comic albums including a collection of onetime presidential candidate Herman Cain-inspired music and Vice Magazine’s best album of 2013 Urinal St. Station. Heidecker has performed as his stand up comedian persona for sold out audiences across the USA and Canada.

For 20 years Neil Hamburger has worked every imaginable stage, from New York’s Madison Square Garden and the UK’s Reading Festival, to a Hollywood cemetery, Tasmanian pubs, and an abandoned monkey cage in a decrepit Catskills zoo. With his unique brand of comedy, he has thrilled, perplexed and repulsed audiences worldwide, and now makes his long awaited return for his 4th engagement at Soho Theatre.

Neil Hamburger was the subject of the critically-acclaimed dramatic 2015 feature film Entertainment, which premiered at the Sundance and Locarno Film Festivals and co-starred John C. Reilly, Tye Sheridan, and Michael Cera.

This run of shows will also include a one-off matinee event on Saturday 2 September – a special screening hosted by the stars of the hit web series On Cinema at the Cinema, Tim Heidecker and Gregg Turkington.

Running Time: 70 mins
Age Recommendation: 16+
