‘An excellent comic, with a flair for lateral-thinking gags and an offbeat stage presence that makes her like a slightly nerdy, very friendly and intensely funny older sister.’

FOSTER’S EDINBURGH COMEDY AWARD NOMINEE 2011

Holly Walsh (Fosters Edinburgh Comedy Awards Best Newcomer Nominee 2011, Chortle Best Newcomer, Dave ‘Top 10 Stand-ups 2011’) brings her long awaited debut stand up hour to the Soho Theatre.

In August 2010, Holly broke her arm whilst attempting to fly off a pier in a novelty aircraft. After a five hour operation, four days in hospital, six weeks off work and a year of physiotherapy, Holly was determined something positive should come of the experience. So she wrote this show. In her debut hour, Holly recounts the true story of how she came to find herself standing on the edge of a 40ft pier, next to man dressed as Rambo, with nothing but a homemade helicopter to save her.

‘Gutsy little so and so.’ Erik, Orkney. Daily Mail Website, 15/8/10.

Since starting stand up in 2007, Holly’s TV credits include Mock the Week (BBC1), Never Mind the Buzzcocks (BBC2), You Have Been Watching (CHANNEL 4), ‘Would I Lie to You?’ (BBC1) & 8 out of 10 Cats (CHANNEL 4) amongst others. Radio wise, she is regular team captain on Act Your Age (RADIO 4), The News Quiz (RADIO 4) and And the Winner is (RADIO 2). Holly is currently filming a six part sitcom which she co-wrote with Sharon Horgan (Pulling) for BBC3.
