Novice Theory

Geo Wyeth (aka Novice Theory) is a New York City musician and performer using piano and accordion.

Wyeth’s songs and stories are darkly humorous and ecstatic meditations on the absurdity of embodied experience, and draw inspiration from both experimental and popular musical forms. He is an out female to male transsexual and was born in New York City in 1984. Startling musicianship not to be missed.

Previously at Soho Theatre as a performer in Justin Vivian Bond’s Lustre, Geo’s astonishing performances led to an appearance on BBC’s Later with Jools Holland.

I identify with that dark, weird, Grand Guignol element… the scrappy, punk showmanship.’
