Unique pre and post-show dining just a stone’s throw away
Soho Theatre has recently launched a partnership with Quo Vadis, to offer an alternative choice to Soho Theatre’s informal bar food of pizzas and bagels. Quo Vadis restaurant, next door to us on Dean Street, serves a sophisticated and modern British menu at very reasonable prices.
January 2012 saw a new beginning for Quo Vadis with the arrival of chef Jeremy Lee, who after 16 years at London’s Blueprint Café, took charge of the Quo Vadis kitchen, and became a partner in the business with restaurateurs Sam and Eddie Hart. Together Jeremy, Sam and Eddie re imagined Quo Vadis as a restaurant very much for today’s Soho, relaxed and affordable.
The menu at Quo Vadis changes daily according to the produce offered to Jeremy by his enviable list of suppliers, many of whom Jeremy has built up very close relationships with over the years. A “theatre set” menu is offered all day priced at £17.50 for two courses and £20 for three. From the main menu, diners can enjoy starters such as Salt Mallard and Beetroot Salad (£6) with mains including Ox Liver, Onions and Sage (£14); and Hake, Clams, Leeks and Fennel (£14). There is also a grill section, and a pie of the day such as Pheasant Pie. Every day a cheese in peak condition is delivered to Quo Vadis from Neal’s Yard and is paired with an appropriate wine.
