As part of Soho Theatre’s ongoing commitment to broadening access and fostering excellence, Soho Slam! is our outreach programme, targeting diverse communities. The programme encourages young people to engage with Soho Theatre both as audience members and writers with their own stories to tell, and to experiment with the form those stories take.

Throughout the year, Soho Theatre runs workshops with different youth groups in London. Participants explore a variety of forms including playwriting, lyrics, poetry, story-telling and stand-up comedy.

Soho Theatre hosts regular Script Slam! events to showcase the best young writers’ work. Hosted by a comedian, Slam! features scenes, stories, comedy and live music from young writers throughout London.
