Well, its that time of the year again…The Under 11’s!! Yipppppeeee!!! The one time when I get to perform in a bunch of decent plays written by budding geniuses! Today is our first day and we have hit the ground running working on ‘Charlie’s Got the Hots’ where I play feisty teenager, Naomi and ‘The Lost Girl’, where I play Sephe, a young girl who is being bullied at school and neglected at home. I need a hug!
It’s all looking good so far. Just can’t wait till we get into costume. You guys are gonna love it!
Check back soon

Up, up and away with Superplays return: the revenge of the under 11’s
Everyone arrived at 10 this morning ready to throw them selves into rehearsals. We have the director, actors, designers and an army of assistants and volunteers. When you have 22 plays to produce in less than two weeks it takes a large dedicated team. The first job of the day was the read through. This went very well indeed, the actors enjoyed their roles and left the rest of us in fits of laughter. This afternoon the proper rehearsals began and the design team have started the mammoth task of prop and costume making.
Everyone had a great day and we are all looking forward to tomorrow.

This morning we read through all the scripts and I found it interesting the different concerns that the Year 6 students had. There were a range of topics from the expected bullying to unexpected ones like global warming and climate change.
We all got assigned our parts and then got stuck in. It looks like it’s going to be a lot of fun.
