DOCTOR BROWN WINS TOTAL THEATRE AWARD FOR INNOVATION
Fri 24 August 2012Our very own Doctor Brown, aka Phil Burgers, has yet again popped up in the industry awards, this time by scooping the Total Theatre prize for Innovation, Experimentation & Playing with Form for his 2012 show Befrdfgth.
And that’s not all:
This news comes just two days after it was announced that he had made the shortlist for the Foster’s Comedy Awards 2012, under the category of Best show, along with a stellar lineup of performers covering sketch comedy, surrealist stand up, storytelling and mime.
Still there’s more:
Earlier this year, he picked up the Barry Award for Best Show at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival.
