Tue 8 May 2012

We are delighted to announce that following its critically acclaimed sell-out double run at Live Theatre, Newcastle and Soho Theatre, A Walk on Part transfers to the Arts Theatre in London’s West End, with John Hodgkinson reprising his highly acclaimed role as Chris Mullin.

From the director, designer and producer behind the hit West End and Broadway show The Pitman Painters, director and Artistic Director of Live Theatre, Newcastle, Max Roberts said:

‘I am thrilled A Walk on Part is continuing into the West End and the work of two extremely
witty and skilful writers, (Michael Chaplin and Chris Mullin) will be enjoyed by a wider audience, along with the extraordinary performances from this exceptionally talented cast.’

A Walk on Part reveals an insider’s view of the last and most turbulent decade in politics as the critically acclaimed and witty diaries of former MP for Sunderland South, Chris Mullin, come alive in an exhilarating ride of political humour. In February 2012 the company of A WALK ON PART had the great privilege of becoming the first theatre show to be invited by the Speaker of the House to perform in The State Rooms at the House of Commons for an audience of MPs, Peers and Lords.

A Walk on Part is showing at the Arts Theatre from 19 June – 14 July.
